Association of International Photography Art Dealers Photography Show Field Trip

Once again this April, the FOA is splitting the cost for the high school photography students to attend the AIPAD Photography Show in the Park Avenue Armory.  The show celebrates its 35th year of bringing together more than eighty of the worlds leading photography art galleries. Below are some testimonials from last year's event.

Sounds of Summer, Sculpture, and now Drawing, Painting and Photography too!

Summer is almost here.

Now is the time to plan fun and excitement for your children during the summer break.

The FOA is offering three different summer camps for your children in addition to the Summer Theatre Arts Program (see below).  

Sounds of Summer (7/27 - 8/7) is a two-week music program that takes place at the middle school.  The program is 10 mornings.  The program wraps up with a concert on the final day.

Summer Sculpture (8/10 - 8/27) takes place in the HS over two weeks (Monday- Thursday) with a one week break in the middle.  On the final day they'll be a gallery walk so that you may see all of your children's creations.  

New: Summer Drawing, Painting & Photography (8/3 - 8/13). This is a two-week program (Monday - Thursday) that takes place at the HS & will also end in a gallery walk on the final day.

MT. SINAI FRIENDS OF THE ARTS 2015 Summer Theatre Arts Program

Learn the Performing Arts from experienced professionals through the rehearsal process of a musical. Rehearsal Dates for all shows are June 29th through July 24th. Great roles for both boys and girls in all three shows!

Open to any student entering grades 2 - 4
Rehearsal time:  9:00 - 11:30
Performance Date:  July 26th, 11:00am
Tuition $350

The 1-Act Version - Open to any student entering grades 5-8
Rehearsal time:  11:30-2:30
Performance Date:  July 26th, 2:00pm
Tuition $400

The Full 2-Act Version - Open to any student entering grades 9 - graduating seniors
Rehearsal time:  8:30 - 11:30
Performance Date:  July 26th, 5:00pm
Tuition $400

Elementary School Variety Show

It's that time of the year again!

The Elementary School show will be held on Friday, April 24th.

Last year we had 40 Acts -We are expecting at least that many this year.

If your elementary school student would like to register but hasn't done so yet, please print the registration form from our website or pick one up at the elementary school.

Advanced sales of tickets will begin on March 23.

Announcement: Disney Pin Trading

The FOA has run pin trading events for the last few years.  Due to declining interest in the community, we've decided to cancel the remaining sessions for the balance of the school year.

'Tis the Season... for the Mt. Sinai FOA Holiday Boutique!

The FOA invites your children to shop for your gifts at the Holiday Boutique on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday December 2nd, 3rd  & 4th.  Christmas and Hanukkah gifts are available for siblings, parents, grandparents and pets.  Elementary School students will be scheduled to attend the boutique along with classmates. Middle School students will shop during lunch periods. This boutique is organized by the FOA.  Funds raised will help to enhance art, music and theater programs.
