Elementary School Variety Show

It's that time of the year again!

The Elementary School show will be held on Friday, April 24th.

Last year we had 40 Acts -We are expecting at least that many this year.

If your elementary school student would like to register but hasn't done so yet, please print the registration form from our website or pick one up at the elementary school.

Advanced sales of tickets will begin on March 23.

What’s different from last year?

The Show is sponsored by the HS Variety Show Club, The MS Student Council and the Friends of the Arts.

We’re teaming up with MusicIdol.org this year to offer you a bigger, more exciting event. 

·         Expect on-stage video screens, laser lighting in the auditorium

·         There will be contests and give-aways for the audience

·         The acts will be introduced and the event moved along by a seasoned emcee.

When is it?

·         Show is on Thursday, January 22^nd. 

·         Rehearsal is on Tuesday January 20^th.

·         An audition will be held on Tuesday December 2^nd at the Middle School Auditorium

Who can participate?

This year, the event is open to students in both the Middle School and the High School

What kinds of acts are allowed?

Acrobats, Comedians, Dancers, Jugglers, Musicians, Singers

Are you a member of a…

·         dance troop? 

·         band? 

·         string quartet? 

Do you…

·         play the piano?

·         sing?

·         have a great stand-up routine?

These are just a few of the suggestions – We want you to showcase your talent at this year’s event.

DISNEY PIN TRADING!

We will be having what we hope to be our biggest pin trading party of the year on April 4th in the high school cafeteria from 5:30 until the variety show starts and also at intermission.  Come stock up on pins before your Spring Break vacation!  We will be having an Animation Academy style drawing competition.  Will you draw the best Mickey Mouse for your age group (including an Adults category)?  Winners get a limited edition pin!

Disney Pin Trading Party

Our first pin trading party of the year will be held Friday, October 18th in the Middle School Library from 4-6pm.  Buy and trade pins, win prizes, and munch on some Disney themed treats.  Can't make it but need to buy pins before your vacation?  We've got you covered!  Just fill out the contact form to the right.

Live Theater:

Christmas Carol – join the Friends of the Arts on Friday, December 6th for this annual family favorite performed at Theater Three in Port Jefferson.   Food, beverages, raffle baskets and of course the play. 

Barnaby Saves Christmas - join the Friends of the Arts on Saturday, December 14th for this annual family favorite for the eight and under crowd performed at Theater Three in Port Jefferson.  Food, beverages, raffle baskets and of course the adorable play. 

Student Performances

MS Variety Show – A great chance to see some of the talented students in our Middle School perform on the HS stage on Friday, January 10, 2014.  Come out and support family and friends at this fun-filled event. (add date from calendar)

An Evening Out

Art Auction – If you attended this event last year, you know to mark your calendar for this year’s auction on Friday, June 6th, 2014.  Once again we will be at the Willow Creek Country Club for an evening of wonderful live music, fabulous food and art for every taste.   (add date from calendar).
